Embracing Mental Wellness

January was Mental Wellness Month, but our focus on mental wellness is a year-long effort.

The ACM Lifting Lives team is always here if you or someone you know is struggling. Please see some resources on our website to get support or reach out to our team so we can do our best to help you or connect you as needed.

Below are a few organizations in the music community that may also be able to help!

Our 2023 Wrapped

What a year it has been!

Tee-Off and Rock On

In 2023, ACM Lifting Lives broke records with our ACM Lifting Lives Topgolf Tee-Off and Rock On event. This stellar fundraiser surpassed previous years with attendance, funds raised, and a re-imagined way of hosting a live concert. This event was a true highlight for our organization with a day of competitive industry golf play, introducing more people to our mission, and wrapping up the evening with performances by some of your favorite artists.

Music Camp & SENSE Theatre

Vanderbilt Kennedy Center and ACM Lifting Lives are proud partners, and we hope that together we can demonstrate and expand upon the positive effects that music has on the mind.

ACM Lifting Lives Music Camp brought campers with Williams syndrome to Nashville for a week immersed in music and research. Campers had the opportunity to write, record, and perform a song with some of their favorite country music artists all week long. Throughout the years, Vanderbilt Kennedy Center has been able to conduct groundbreaking research that has impacted the lives of these participants.

ACM Lifting Lives SENSE Theatre gave young campers with autism spectrum disorder the chance to learn and perform a musical written by Dr. Blythe Corbett and directed by a young adult with autism. This Nashville-based program provides a safe space for youth to learn and be creative while also practicing life skills.

ACM Honors: ACM Lifting Lives Award

The Academy of Country Music celebrated the 16th Annual ACM Honors at the Ryman Auditorium. ACM Lifting Lives had the privilege of hosting a live auction of two guitars that had been signed by participating artists throughout the day to raise funds and awareness for the organizations.

Troy Vollhoffer was awarded the ACM Lifting Lives award for his outstanding service, generosity, and commitment to improving lives through the power of music. Vollhoffer is a former chair of the ACM Lifting Lives Board and remains an active, dedicated member of the board.

Funds Given

ACM Lifting Lives humbly continues being able to give back to the Country Music community. We continue supporting individuals in the industry who face unexpected hardships by providing financial support through our Diane Holcomb Relief Fund. As we reflect on the year, we are honored to have helped a number of individuals make ends meet by stepping in to help cover bills such as medical, dental, mental health, and daily living expenses.

ACM Lifting Lives also awarded grants to fourteen organizations in 2023 that use music as a means of healing or provide support to those in the Country Music industry. We look forward to continue investing in music therapy programs in the year to come.
